yeah a very small one, i decided to press on with no trackplans what so ever, i'll be able to get sheringham done if i can work out the length of the station etc, but i gave up waiting for trackplans this daniel seems unreliable, and since my email last week when i asked about the plans/ and possible building dimensions, i have not had a response. _________________ Thanks from Mike

a lil me Tom have been trying to work round out no plans problem, we managed to throw down a couple of texture files of the old M&GN track layout, not exactly how it is now but gives me a perfect idea for where to put the track,
Thanks Tom _________________ Thanks from Mike

I think I should also explain how we are doing things.
Mike has got the whole route basically textured. It might need a little tweaking, but it's ok for now. To start laying down track, we've taken Sheringham as the start point. I've sourced some trackplans from the M&GN Era. They are a little different; the line runs through and has a goods yard where the car park should be, but still good enough to work with for the main part. The main line and I think the points to Platform 3 and Sidings are the same as now, so it's fine on that front.
I've now created some transfers which we can place on the route after lining them up with Sheringham. Then tracklaying can just be placed on top. I know transfers technically distort a little on hills, but it's not too bad at the Sheringham end - as much as makes no difference.
So things are moving again; instead of waiting for new plans, we're just using ones that are 'only' 100 or so years out of date... No worries!

This might help explain it a little; on this version you can see the track plans as grey lines. On Mike's version, the plans aren't seethrough as it make it easier to place track.

So there you go - the first goods on the NNR! Nowhere to deliver it to, mind...
Tom
Edit; imaging isn't working for some reason. |
